help please with a buying a pvr.........
right this is the situation im living in the republic of ireland sharing a house with a mate he has sky in his sitting room on a basic package i would like to connect a quad lnb and run 2 cables into my bedroom.
now instead of connecting the spare sky box i have and just resetting it to a english freeview box i want some kind of system like sky+ im hearing a lot about some humax box, my question is what box if any can i just connect the 2 cables direct from the dish to, and will it work here in ireland and will the box just be like resetting a irish sky box to all the freeview channels. does it pick up itv1,2,3,4 bbc three bbc 4 etc so i could record them. thanks |

Argos in ROI don't sell any Freesat branded products. You have to go to NI or buy online and get it shipped from the UK or from a few guys that sell it on in ROI - but their Euro prices aren't the most competitive. Best price would be shipped from Amazon (you will pay 21.5% Irish VAT on it but shipping is only 7GBP) or Satbuyer (GBP price VAT @ 15% shipping £22). I have never used Satbuyer so can't say if they are ok or not.
