Hi everyone - I guess it's traditional on this thread to explain that I'm posting for the first time but have been lurking for ages...so who am I to break with tradition?

Looking forward to lots of interesting debates.

Hi everyone! I really need a professional advice here: what is the best thing to do?? We removed old wallpaper from the wall and how ''not nice'' surprise this was a lot of black stains dry but it definately was a lot of dump and wall fungus problems in here. i know first i have to treated it with some mould/fungus killer and then clean the walls. Fill all the gaps and little cracks with Pollyfilla and then? I don't know- shall i clean the wall with some water and detergent and use primer? Can i just sand it smooth use primer and paint it without plastering it (walls are pretty smooth and there isn't any big cracks or holes>? And if i have to do plastering what is THE MUST STEPS to prepare the wall like this for it? ( problem is i never did plastering before but have some decorating experience and unfortunately not enough money to pay someone to do it professionally) I would appreciate any advice very much

Hi, welcome to DS.

As has already been mentioned, you'd be best asking your question HERE I'm quite sure there will be people there who can advise you on your problem. Good luck with it.
