Sorry for that.

I actually wanted to write "Inter" but I probably got confused because it said "Inter Milan" on ITV.com.

So Napoli (who have often been chosen for the Benitez factor) are the only match to be ignored !!!!

Yes, dissapointed that we haven't had the chance to see Napoli-Dinamo Moscow

Still good choice to opt for Torino-Zenit and then switch over to Dnipro-Ajax for the 2nd half. Perhaps they will take the same for the following match-day (on the provisio that Din-Nap is still on a competitive footing) and then switch to the 2nd half of one of the other matches on the conclusion?

But on the 2nd match day they may leave the Napoli game at half time !!!

The 2 games at 6 pm are more appealing (at the moment)

It would be rather pointless to only show the first half of a second leg knockout match, wouldn't it?

I'm guessing the first half (or perhaps the whole) of Dnipro v Ajax will be shown on BT Sport Extra? That would make sense to me, presuming they have the rights to do so.

Nonetheless, good to see BT Sport picking up five games from the Europa League Round of 16 first legs.

Tonight Everton game on Itv is being presented by Mark Pougatch rather than Matt Smith

Matt Smith seems to have been put on the darts and other small sports shelf ???

He is leaving itv at the end of the season but it seems a shame to take him off the Europa league at such a late stage of the competition which he has presented for a while. He is even listed as presenter in my tv Choice mag but the EPG says its Mark presenting

Itv have announced that the second leg will be on itv 4 but I think it should be on the main channel.

If they did they could change the schedule to

5pm news
5.30 Dynamo Kiev v Everton
8.00 Emmerdale
9.00 The Triplets are coming
10.00

Or

5pm You've been Framed
5.30 Dynamo Kiev v Everton
8.00 News
8.30 Emmerdale
9.30 Double Decker Driving School
10.00 News

I mean that it is a British team playing in the second biggest competition in Europe. It should be on the main channel

But by next Thursday they could be the only British team left in Europe.

Doesn't change the status of the competition though.

So why wasn't it on he main channel tonight then?

At least the BBC are even putting Reading v Bradford on their main channel, a match which involves a second tier club at home to a third.

Because of the times of kickoffs.

I suppose you could always write into ITV if you REALLY want it to be on ITV1.

You never know it is a one off. It could potentially be the last European game on itv involving a British team

Very unlikely. I'll probably be wrong now. Problem is the k.o.time. People still coming home, which would render move futile.

Whats all this 'main channel' nonsense?!
Everyone has digital TV that wants TV so if people want to watch the Everton 2nd leg, they will as ITV4 is available to almost all (With the small few on DTT relay transmitters)
ITV are not going to move the schedule around for the UEL, FACT!

Strange that the all Spanish match is on again at 2005
BT have chosen it even though the tie is decided !!

They have the all Italian and Ajax match as well

Napoli in Russia at 5 is their final choice

That means no coverage of Torino or Bruges

ITV have the same 2 games

The other general point is, ITV didn't buy the rights to the Europa League out of the goodness of their own hearts, one of the main reasons they bought it was to draw viewers to ITV4. If they shift every decent match to ITV1, what's the point of having ITV4? ITV want viewers to watch ITV4.

You may as well complain that Sky are showing the Man City match this week on Sky Sports 5 when they could have shown it on SS1 and those people on BT who don't have SS5 could see it. But they want people to watch Sky Sports 5.
