I am unsure about whether he truly is Corrie's answer to Shane Richie, because I am not sure if he has the charisma or personality of Shane.

The other thing is Shane Richie is instantly likeable on screen, and hasn't played any other TV roles that would make anyone see him otherwise. However, for Corrie fans who have watched MIT or Lock, Stock the TV series, they will have seen Bradley Walsh play darker roles, such as an abusive parent (MIT), and a gangster type character (Lock, Stock). Would this affect him in Corrie? Maybe, maybe not.

I really hope Bradley Walsh will surprise me, but to be fair I think his personality would be a lot better suited for Eastenders.

But thumbs up to Corrie anyway for taking a chance with a proven celebrity, Keith Duffy has worked and I hope Bradley does as well.
