Pickles & Chutneys
Is there a difference between pickle and chutney?
What is your favourite shop bought variety? Mine is the Waitrose peach own brand chutney. Does anyone have any good recipes? What do you serve chutney with apart from a Ploughmans or in sandwiches? Post all things chutney/pickle related here

No idea what the difference between a pickle and chutney is and to add to that - is a relish different again?
![]() My absolute fav is Ballymaloe Country Relish, its tomato based with vinegar (think all of the above are united in having a vinegar base though) its the TV chef Rachel Allens mum in laws cookery school in Ireland. Can't stand so many of those Carmelized Onion types now as mega sweet. going back in time, I remember friends covering chips in corn relish and horrible big chunky mango chutney with a curry
