I don't know how genuine the reality rich list is though ....

I would have thought Kate , Alex and Brian would have earned much more than that ...

I did suspect the closer magazine article published last year before the start of bb4 that claimed there were 4 big brother millionaires Jade,Alex,Kate and Nick in that order was rubbish .. Closer magazine was just guessing - as is The Sun.

The tax inspectors might share your opinion.

Take a look in the archives of this Forum. You will find plenty of other news articles on this topic. They all quote far higher earnings.

You may even remember some of the threads from your previous existence on this Forum.

No it wouldn't have done !!!. There is plenty of evidence right in front of you.

Let me explain this to you again ....... this topic has been discussed on many occasions in the past eighteen months on this Forum. Some of the threads consists of dozens and dozens of replies.

In all the previous discussions articles with appropriate links have been posted. These have indicated that all the former BB HMs referred to above have earned a lot more money than the piece referred to here.

YOU asked for further evidence ..... now just do a simple site search and you'll find it.

Do you need help doing a search? Just ask.

maybe you could post a link to this evidence? the ones you find so believable.

Evidence implies you are trying to prove something to somebody else - the poster simply told you what they believed, i.e. their opinion. Don't be so rude.

my apologies , when i read it i thought eejay was speaking with some authority on the matter. if its just an opinion based on no evidence what so ever then i have no problem with that.

I speak with total authority. I repeat .... this has been discussed on this board many times. There are links to the relevant articles, all of which suggest that the ex-HMs (not just Jade) have earned more money than is quoted in today's Sun article.

I was stating a point of view. You were the one requiring further evidence ... in which case you can do the donkey work. But as you took part in many of these discussions at the time that we had them, I can understand your reluctance to spend time on this.

I like the idea that Jade can live on her milion. After Gordon Brown and the agent and the accountant have had their piece (half?) she would be lucky to make 10 k after tax if she has invested the lot in the stockmarket and, as she has spent 300k of it on the house,,she would be living on £4K after tax. Its a life changing amount, but not to live on for life. .

The idea of Jade producing the best selling fitness video is ironic since the Sun survey of fitness videos gave it 0/10 and their "expert" claimed it was useless. The figure looks high - although you have to allow for the fact that she has produced two videos.

Networkbabe, Jade and Jeff didn't cash buy their 300k home - they got a joint mortgage so that it was a house they both paid for over years - rather than the house Jade bought.

I too was a little surprised at how low the earnings of the others were.

I wasn't surprised.

The story was puff for the new reality show. By contrasting Jade's (and, indeed Nick's) supposed mega-bucks with others supposed measly earnings you make her seem more interesting and special.

That's the intention anyway, IMO.

The writer knows about as much about the fact of any of their earnings as we do - rather less actually because we have a better idea of what each of them has done, judging from the article anyway. :sleep:

I agree with Eejay, the sheer number of other things that the ex-HM's have done must amount to more than the paltry earnings shown on the article.

As for evidence please note that in my previous paragraph I said the word 'sheer' which implies that there would be at least one post/thread about about each activity that has been done by all of the ex-HMs. This would mean an awful lot of material to have to quote/source and I would not expect Eejay, or anyone else, to have to produce these links.

Eejay and several others have been here for a long time, I myself have been here since before BB4 so I would ask that you take our word for it on this occasion as we would be more knowledgable of the archived information with regards to Big Brother material on the forums here than yourself would be after being active here after only a month. Failing that, you should familiarise yourself with the search function of this forum.

If, on the other hand, you have lurked on the BB forum for an extended period prior to joining (or perhaps existed under a different user name) then I would argue that you know fine well what Eejay is trying to say and that you are just being awkward. IMO of course...

Just reading the article in this week's Now magazine...

Alex and PJ comments on Jade's million:

I've added it up...and if the claims are true then it does indeed come to £1 million....slightly less than the £2 million I;ve seen claimed on this very forum......Now.....I hate to bring up the tricky subject of tax.......She may have made a million but after tax what is it..and publicity, and the management cut etc etc etc.......

On the MYOB subject..If you're so convinced that Eejay is wrong then we need to ask you to prove it.....Provide some links and the like...cheers.

so just so im straight on this ...... some one makes an assertion ... then the onus is on anyone who questions it to find the evidence to contradict it??? I thought it would have been the other way around. surely the onus should be on the person MAKING the claim? surely ....

let me be clear here , if someone is offering an opinion on something then fair enough , no proof neccessary. but if someone like eejay claims to have "total authority" on the subject then surely a few links backing his claim shouldnt be too difficult to come up with.

The exact figure given by Now is £1,136,000. Her agents John Noel get 10%.

Until a BB contestant actually shows us their bank statements - we can really only speculate as to how much they have accumilated. Anyone know when the Sunday Times Rich List is published? It's supposed to be the most accurate for this sort of thing.
