If YOU were Nancy
This is the most random thread I'll probably ever start..but I'm going with it
![]() If you were playing Nancy in the West End, who would be your dream co-stars for the other main roles. I'd be MORE than happy with Burn Gorman as Bill. I went to see the show myself for the birthday, and he was just outstanding. Plus he's gorgeous, always a bonus ![]() I'd love Brad Sherwood from Whose Line Is It Anyway to play Fagin, I know he'd be considered too young for the role, but I'd think he'd be hilarious. As for Oliver, I'd probably stick with the current kids. When I went I saw Gwion, and he was fabulous enough. I'd quite like to see the young actor who plays Jamie Borthwick [Jay in Eastenders] as Artful Dodger. He seems to have that Dodger charm on Eastenders, and judging from interview clips I've seen from Soap Awards etc., he seems to be a charming and captivating individual. What about everyone else?? |

I can actually see that working...it won't happen, but god, it'd be awesome if it did. He'd definitely bring something different to the role, to say the least. Any thoughts about Dodger/Sikes? I guess. in a way, the problem with this thread, is that it is actually quite hard to cast the roles. The original film with Mark Lester, Jack Wild, Shanni Wallis, Oliver Reed and Ron Moody was so amazing; that even casting for the stage musical, seemed quite difficult. |

Jonathan Pryce as Fagin (he played Fagin in the 1994 WE production of Oliver!)
Lee Mead as Bill Sykes Callum Francis (contestant on BGT) as Dodger |

I don't think Lee quite has "it" to play Sykes well! Burn certainly ticked all to boxes ... but he didn't scare me!
I'd like Ross Kemp to have a go! |
