Anyway, whoever you are, my brother says thank you! I only discovered the other day that he also has a Humax Foxsat HDR, and when comparing notes he said he was having problems recording ITV1 and watching BBC1 at the same time (or something like that).

I emailed him that post, his box fell at the first hurdle, he did a factory reset and he is now like a dog with two tails (or two feeds, anyway).

His box had been set up for him by the "professional" who also installed the satellite dish for him.

PS: that post ought to be stickied IMO.

That's really useful basic information that I think should be made into a post on its own and stickied. I came across it by accident while reading through new posts at the time, but it shouldn't be lost in there.
