If I purchase a BT Vision+ box at £90 without any value packs is the ability to watch "Replay" shows from BBC, ITV etc included or do you then pay for each show you download?

Is the picture quality of "Replay" programmes from BBC, ITV etc the same as it would be in the original live braodcast?

Replay is extra I believe.

Picture quality is 'almost' as good.

If you want Replay I believe it is £3 a month. Also the picture quality is good and I dont notice any huge difference on a 40" LCD to be honest.

Most VOD can give a very slight pixellation affect, but its only really noticeable in fast action shots.

I've had BTV for a year now and watched hundreds of OD programmes (including sport) and have to say I've never. not even once encountered the slightest pixelation

The only problem ever I had was with Setanta but that was the same on all DTT platforms

The quality is surprisingly good. The HD upscaling sometimes gives the illusion of true HD pictures.

All in all, much better than my Top Up TV box.

When I had BT Vision, I also noticed the pixelation effect with VOD on fast moving scenes, as mentioned above. That was when i had a 28" CRT TV set.

One particular series I remember it happening on was 'Hotel Babylon'. That always contained scene cuts that moved fast from one area to another - and the title sequence was a fast flying shot through the London skyline - that definitely had pixelation on it.

for once I agree. it's perfectly fine but on some very fast moving scenes it's just ever so slightly noticeable. perhaps less noticeable for me as i have a 32" lcd rather than 40"+ .

Other than that the quality can be better than some dtt channels.
