O2 XDA question
My mate came round the other day to have some java games and video chucked on his XDA (1 not 2) from my PC. He had the cradle and manuals etc. but no driver disk.
I plugged the cradle in to my PC via USB, but Windows (XP Pro) insisted on a driver for it. I did a search on the net but with no luck and also called O2 technical idiots, I mean support, who managed to read me through a script of how to plug in the cradle and then how to check power etc. All of which I knew about and had done and just wanted a location for the drivers to download! Anyway, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the drivers from? Secondly, has anyone managed to put java games and video on the XDA before and is it easy enough to do? I am very computer literate (working as a programmer I have a bit of an idea) and have lemmings and Doom for my mate in java for him. I also have some videos he wants too. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Lalaland |

The O2 website states that you connect the XDA to your PC using Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5
The link they give is: http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pock...tivesync35.asp The site also states that, depending on the software version of your xda, there is a ROM upgrade. You'll find it at http://www.my-xda.com/romupgrades.html Make sure you have chosen the xda 1 upgrade not xda 2 upgrade (top right hand corner under downloads) |
