PC to TV via HDMI question ?

...I've got a 42" Toshiba that has WXGA (1366x768) max screen res...

With my WD HD TV (via HDMI) I get a very good picture playing VOB and ISO's from my USB HDD.

I am now looking for a new PC with a graphics HDMI out and want to link it to my TV.

1). What is the (best) resolution to set the PC graphics card if I want to watch YouTube and BBC iPlayer at full screen (no black bars) at the best posible quality possible with this TV.....

2). Would a 1080p TV give any better quality ?
