Nokia 6600
Anyone else waiting for the Nokia6600 to get accepted?
Wondered if anyone has been told anything useful by Orange about when we can get it? Also is this new Sendo phone better than it? Sorry don't know the number of it...just read it had a similar spec and a radio. |

The N6600 is already out in this country. Your other main Symbian options are:
Siemens SX1 : Released everyewhere except the UK. Reports of a buggy software putting off networks I think. So they are waiting for more stable firmware. SendoX: Not been released anywhere yet. (Could be plauged by same bugs as Siemens, seeings they are also modifying Nokia's Series 60 UI) Both the above phones have improved hardware over the Nokia (and arguably better design), although the N6600 has the latest version of Symbian OS (Symbian 7)(not that it adds a lot, or makes that much difference. Most applications will still be made for Symbain6 UI1.2) |

I bought a 6600 from the orange shop a few weeks ago on contract.
![]() All I've heard so far is that the SX1 is FULL of bugs, making it pretty much unusable. I haven't experienced any bugs at all on my 6600, it runs very smoothly. |

Not now it isn't. You try and get hold of one now by phone in store or online...they'll tell you that you have to wait

I had problems getting my 6600 on Orange. all 4 of my local Link stores were sold out (who had an offer on i wanted). Orange sales direct were sold out, awaiting stock.
Phones4U had a "few" left, so i managed to get one there. The Orange shop were sold out. My mate tried to get one this monday, direct from Orange and he is still waiting for stock to come in. There does appear to be a shortage...... |
