Danny Elfman film music: a question
Hi
![]() I absolutely LOVE the soundrack of Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman. In fact, I'm addicted to it; I listen to it all the time. I love the way it's quite gentle, whimsical and fairytale-ish, and in particular, all the "ooh-ahs" of the choir in the background. What I would like to know is, which other Danny Elfman soundtracks am I most likely to enjoy? Which of them (if any) are most similar to Edward Scissorhands? OK, of course I could just watch the films, but without doing that, could anyone let me know which of his other music is Scissorhand-like. Come to that, is there any music by any other composers which is in a similar vein and which would appeal to me? I love the Edward Scissorhands music so much, and would love to find something else that's similar, and similarly good. Thanks for any advice! |

I also love the music from Scissorhands.
Isn't "Mars Attacks" by Danny Elfman? I LOVE that soundtrack! I'm sure there are other films - just can't recall them this time of the morning:yawn: |

Corpse Bride? You should also check out the Nightmare before Christmas: not quite the same, but great music nonetheless...
I think the theme to the godawful "AI" is quite similar too... |
