I am 20 and started my driving lessons last month. Has 4 so far and 5th one tonight. I feel like im terrible and not progressing. My driving instructor insists im doing great and picking it up quickly though? Im out on main roads and road abouts etc but he still takes over clutch and break when we come to a round about and Im a bit lost. I just feel like I should know what im doing by now and I still dont. Am I expecting too much after 4 lessons?

I've had 12 lessons so far and I only just feel like I can do a good drive. By the time I got to my 5th lesson, I hated clutch and braking so much that I never wanted to set foot in a car again. Don't worry, you'll probably have a moment like I did when you think "right, today I am going to be AWESOME!" and then you just get it.

I thought this was going to be "what shall I eat before my lesson to stop my tummy growling?"

Dunno what's funnier - where it is or the fact I clicked.

lol

My driving instructor used to get me to drive him to the nearest shop so he could buy a paper and me a packet of fruit pastels. I think in the hope that it would take me ages to chew the sweets, so I wouldn't talk

If their concentration is this bad they should be worried.
