Caller Display on Sky Phone Package
MrsHavenWarrior
13-08-2009
My mother is with Sky for her Broadband and Telephone calls.

Up until yesterday, her caller display worked on incoming calls and has now all of a sudden stopped working.

We have tried a different telephone (with caller display capability) and the problem still exists. Is anyone else having or had these issues and how could we go about getting it working again?

Is it possible it is a known fault at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Personally I'd phone Sky to find out what's going on. Most of what will be suggested by other members will be guess work, unless they work for Sky.

It's of no help, but I'm with SKY (rental) and the caller display will work sometimes and not others, ie I can call home on my mobile and it displays and then call ten minutes later and it doesn't! Strange.

To whom does she pay line rental?

If she pays line rental to BT*, complain to them. If she pays line rental to Sky, complain to them.

* If she does, it's likely BT will now be charging her for Caller Display because she can't make the necessary 2 calls per month via BT to 'qualify' for the free version.

Caller display is not a free feature, its £2.50 a month.
If you want free caller display, ask for BT privacy at home, that includes registration to TPS.

Which, of course, she can't make the necessary 2 calls per month to 'qualify' for because she's on Sky Talk.
