ts to dvd - is there an easy way?
Hi
I've read numerous threads on converting .ts files to DVD but seem to be going round in circles. Recently I've tried VideoRedo - can't open the files VLC - can't remember what happened there HDTVtoMPEG and SUPER which did convert to mpeg but the screen ratio has gone a bit like 4:3. I tried setting it to 16:9 on conversion but it crashed half way through. Is there any easy, free way to convert a ts file to a format suitable for burning onto DVD and keep the widescreen format it was originally watched in ? If there isn't a free way, what is a good program to buy, again that makes the recording widescreen? thanks for any help, Alex |

I use ConvertX to DVD 3 works a treat. TS is listed as one of the types it can convert so it's not a fluke.

This may be on no help at all, but if you have a PS3 it can play ts files without conversion; just copy them over on a stick and away you go - there is, unfortunately, a 4Gb limit on what the foxsat will allow you to copy which makes it tricky to copy HD material

On Mac if you have toast 7 or above you just drag the .ts file create menu and burn. It takes about half an hour in all. |
