Hello GT.... Unfortunately the Attenuator did not work...really lowered the signal strength so was getting mostly 'no signal' notices or really badly broken up picture. No recording would take place.

On removing the Anttenuator thing were back to normal but again the box will mostly just play recordings and will not respond to the handset or front of cabinet buttons. Not all pre-set recording would take place.

Will just have to await final signal top up and see what happens then.
Meantime...have gone to Sky for a plus machine ...*hangs head looking sheepish*... ha ha..

No....I wanted their Broadband/telephone package as Im leaving BT soon anyhow. Its worked that I am going to be better off than with BT and I also get the Sky+ box and a few extra progs.that I cant get on the two Humaxs....all extra to what I was paying BT for just BBand and phone...in fact I will be a few quid better off.

Thanks for advise to date GT.

p.s. I did contact the communal aerial controllers and they said they would get back to me. Ive not heard yet. Not worth stirring them up until after the full power turn on me thinks.
