Using DECT phone handsets - Missed Calls

We have been using a one.tel digital cordless phone with two handsets for a couple of years. When answering a call with one handset, the call shows up as a Missed Call on the other. This can become confusing.

Is this common to all multi-handset cordless phones or is it just my one.tel set?

Can no-one help me with this? Perhaps I didn't explain the problem very well.

To anyone with a cordless phone with multiple handsets, when you answer a call as normal does is it show up as a missed call on the other handsets?

Help?

No.

It's the same on my OneTel OT8500 triple.

I think the answer is that if you take a call on say phone 1, it will correctly show as a received call on phone 1, but a missed call on phone 2 & phone 3 if you have one. ONLY the phone that you answered the call on will show received.

With our BT Diverse 6210 pair of phones if there is a missed call it displays on both handsets, if the call is received it will show in the received list on both (I think) but if a call is dialled it will only show on the handset the call is dialled from.

As for missed calls from my experience it is common for them to be displayed on all handsets connected to the same base station.

Hope this helps.

Steve.
