I love Madonna and overall I think this is a very strong selection. I do think that its a shame Power Of Goodbye, Hanky Panky, Bad Girl, Rain and This Used To Be My Playground aren't on it though but hey. She has had over 65 singles in the charts so it was always going to be a hard push.

Long live the Queen

I'm not preordering the album i'll just get that on the release day, but i'm definately preordering the single. 2xCD Singles and a 12" picture disc can't be bad... almost makes up for the fact we're still waiting for the download

The tracklist for the single disc edition now seems to be floating around. I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed too.

Hung Up
Music
Vogue
4 Minutes
Holiday
Like A Virgin
Into The Groove
Like A Prayer
Ray Of Light
La Isla Bonita
Frozen
Material Girl
Papa Don't Preach
Lucky Star
Express Yourself
Open Your Heart
Dress You Up
Celebration

I love it Shame there is no input from IC, Erotica, Bedtime Stories and American Life, but it contains only one slow track so it'll be great to dance too I love how it's all mixed up too and not boring chronological.

The single tracklisting is...
CD1:
1. Celebration

CD2:
1. Celebration - Album Version
2. Celebration - Paul Oakenfold Remix
3. Celebration - Benny Benassi Remix
4. Celebration - Paul Oakenfold Dub Mix
5. Celebration - Benny Benassi Remix Edit
6. Celebration - Johny Viscious Club Remix

12" Picture Disc:
1. Celebration - Single Version
2. Celebration - Benny Benassi Remix
3. Celebration - Paul Oakenfold Remix
4. Celebration - Paul Oakenfold Dub Mix

Can't wait

I really don't see the point of the single addition Greatest Hits CD? They should have just done a 2 disk and a 3 disk. Having a single 1 disk addition as well seems like a total waste because everyone will be buying the 2 disk cd!

Yep the 1 disk has already been discussed and we all agreed it was a crap idea. Everyone will be getting the 2 disk addition as its only £4 more!

Really silly of them when they could have put the effect into a 3 disk GH instead.

Just re read the tracklisting

Not loving the 2nd disc. If i had my way, i would buy an edition with just one disc. I think i might purchase my own copy of The Immaculate collection of this.

Immaculate collection is awful because of the edits they've made to songs.

I grew up listening to that album. I don't really know the difference between the edits because it's those songs on that album i know off a lot.

Thanks for the heads up though.

Trust us, it's got some fabulous songs on it but they were butchered to hell - A bit like GHV2.

The Immaculate Collection only contains her 'best of' up until 1990. This new Greatest Hits is a whole career spanning one. The Immaculate collection is fine if you only want the 80s hits but as this new Greatest Hits, at least the 2 disk addition, contains more of her 80s songs than The Immaculate Collection did. It makes sense to buy the new 2 disk Greatest Hits.

You get Burning Up, Who's That Girl, Everybody and Dress You Up on this new 2 disk addition and they never made The Immaculate Collection.

'Celebration' is far more definitive than Immaculate Collection. Who's That Girl is an iconic song and it was crazily omitted from IC, and modern classics liek Hung Up and Music are included now, I wouldn't waste money on another IC, I'd get 'Celebration'. It's a good tracklist that would be made perfect with a tweek here and there

The only thing I'd change and its been discussed already is replacing Borderline with either Bad Girl, Rain or This Used To Be My Playground. I think that is its only fault. I think the 80s are more than represented on it so dropping Borderline which had its moment on TIC for one of the 90s ballads makes more sense to me.

See I would leave "Borderline" alone and replace "Hollywood" with "Rain" or any of the others you mentioned.

IMO, "Hollywood" Is such a sh!t song - Never liked it.
Infact, I would even welcome "American Life" instead. :S

Are you buying the 1 disk addition or the 2 disk addition?

I really don't see the point in the 1 disk addition myself. Plus Revolver is not on the 1 disk addition only the 2 disk and that is the next single after Celebration.

THAT IS FANTASTIC.

Sitting here looking at that wonderful list I'm shocked...and it makes even less sense to me why they have put so much effort into this and yet didn't put together a 3rd disc for the album.

I see what your getting at but I only really like her old stuff. Hence why i said i wanna buy the immaculate collection. I am not a die hard madonna fan so as long as i get the songs i like on the immaculate collection, i couldn't care less if more of her 80's songs happen to be on the new one compared to the old one.

Fab DVD list!! 47 videos!! thats megga!!!!!!

But Miles Away??? that didn't have a video did it? I thought that video was a fan made one as no official video was made?

and I hope its the uncut first and real version of American Life, not the crappy one they replaced it with.
