I am going to start taking packed lunches to work. I am going to bring in pasta tomorrow. However if I cook it tonight will it still be fresh for tomorrow lunchtime? If not how can I make it fresh?

Also, what's in your packed lunch? I need some ideas.

I don't take a packed lunch, but in my lunchbox, I've got about 9".

Oh come on. It was such an obvious joke.

All I do is make a batch, usually ham salad, with salad and salad cream.......I make one the night before and pop it in the fridge.

Then I buy a big multipack of crisps and leave them at work, same with biscuits or anythng else I want to have....

Pasta will keep perfectly well overnight, I have it regularly.

I love my Laptop Lunchbox.

If you look in the Food & Drink forum, there are quite a few threads with packed lunch ideas.

Every day I have steamed potato's, garden peas, baby carrots and a steamed chicken breast. 2 apples and a banana. But more importantly I have a bowl of porridge every morning.

There are fewer things better to put in a lunchbox than dairylea sandwiches with walkers crisps, preferably cheese and onion but smoky bacon is good.

Yep, well no, sometimes I have baked beans instead of peas and carrots.

Usually an apple and a yogurt; I run across the street for a decent cup of coffee, bring it back and spend lunchtime at my desk on DS!

I have just started taking up packed lunches too. I usually have some yoghurts in the fridge and work and I get snack a jack salt & vinegar popcorn multi pack to leave in my draw.

I have one of those with either roll, sandwich, pitta, pasta, salad etc. You dont have to have normal bread. You can change it up a bit. French stick, bagel etc.

I usually get tuna, ham, chicken pieces as a base for them. Which the chicken chunks I can then add sauces and marinades. e.g peri peri etc and with tuna pasta I can have mayo or tomatoes etc. I always buy sweetcorn too because it goes with tuna and chicken.
