My god she irritates the hell out of me. I like the actress, used to love her in Doctors and her 2 second appearance as Max's bit of fluff in EE. But this acting out the farmers wife and mother... can't buy it at all. Evertime I see her on the tv it makes me want to turn off.

I like her: seems like a fairly realistic character, and i like her with her family: the fit in well in the show.

When I see her now I think of a soap writer who made a comment about has anyone considered the 'illegal age difference' between her and the older! lol

Cos she's only 34. And her son is played by a 22 year old. lol

I don't like her either, is it Moira? Something about her I just can't take to. I don't like that youngest girl either, the one with a crush on Andy, something about her I can't put my finger on too. I like the rest of the Bartons though.

Nah, her place is in doctors. Not the Dales.

Same here, something about the character or the way the actress is playing her that doesn't sit right. She was fine in other shows.

Maybe she's too conscious of the fact she's only a few years older than the adults playing her kids and she's trying to sort of play 'middle-aged mum' to look more realistically like their mother, even though she IS only 34! lol

Maybe, I just can't get the image of her in the docs surgery when she was knocking off the older guy played by the dude that plays Jim McDonald.

i like her character so far, i thought she was great in doctors and the bill too!

I liked her in all of her parts in other soaps, just not in Emmerdale.

but still not too sure about any of the other Bartons yet. Need more episodes with them in.

I don't think any amount of episodes she's in will change my mind. The actress just doesn't suit the role. The others don't bug me as much.

I can remember her when she was in Take the High Road - long, long ago. She was OK in that.

I like her in Emmerdale - she has an edge. Not massively impressed by the Barton kids - though the youngest one (Hannah?) reminds me of a young Donna Windsor as played by Verity Rushworth.

Oh I never watched Take the High Road. Barton Kids remind me of Sophie and Rosie in Corrie.

as an actress i like her...but as this character shes not right nor are the 2 daugthers..neither can act.

the father/son have good chemistry..and sexy..so that helps...

I just worked out what it is that irritates the living daylights out of me when watching her, it's the accent. It doesn't fit in with that of her family or the dales. No offence intended. Usually like her.
