And the answer is.. Because it was the first new album for 13 years. And yes I think it is good. I think half the stuff mentioned here is utter crap, but I don't go asking all these good people 'why' they bought it all etc.

Well the last thing I bought was actually a 7" vinyl; U2 - All I Want Is You, with it's B-Side being Unchained Melody. Brilliant
Got it yesterday, for 50p. The last CD I bought was Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - The Smashing Pumpkins. Absolutely magnificent.

Ok, but little pedantic joke here: Last cd I brought where? get it? It's cos you said 'last cd you brought?' which, grammatically implies that you took an album somewhere - as in, 'I brought it to work with me'. When you have gone to a shop to buy something, you have BOUGHT it. ![]() Please don't take offence. |

And if EVERYONE stopped buying and just downloaded on the sly instead.. then what? NO-ONE would make music anymore and there would be NO new music at all. Making music is not free you know - even back in 1975 Queen's seminal album A Night At The Opera cost £100,000 to make - even that is nothing compared to much of today's costs. |
