Finally bought

Little Boots - Hands

The album is really good actually, no it's not the best thing ever but the album is very good, no weak tracks in my opinion and the flak she gets is underved.

Getting the BBc 2009 rising star thing was inevitably going to turn people against her. Like the album for what it is, a great pop album that's very listenable and stop criticising it for what it isn't.

Anyone unsure on Hands, I say just ignnore the naysayers and get it.

Little boots gets flak? I have heard nothing but fantastic critical acclaim about her since she made her way into the music world?

Yesterday I went and ordered 2 albums from HMV

Amanda Marshall - Tuesday's Child
Beverley Knight - Music City Soul

I thought they'd have them in the shop but I had to order them in...

Van der Graaf Generator ~ Live at the Paradiso 14.04.07

Also Benjamin Britten's adaptation of The Beggar's Opera, conducted by Christian Curnyn, plus various Camel re-mastered albums and some Muse promos.

And if EVERYONE stopped buying and just downloaded on the sly instead.. then what?
NO-ONE would make music anymore and there would be NO new music at all.
Making music is not free you know - even back in 1975 Queen's seminal album A Night At The Opera cost 100,000 to make - even that is nothing compared to much of today's costs.
and what an album that was/isGotta love Queen

Paramore - Brand New Eyes.
Thoughts?

It turned up for me (ordered it on play.com so it arrived on the day of release) on monday. Brilliant, i think. Standout track(s) for me, though I love all of them...Misguided Ghosts...stunning Can't get it out of my head.

I love it, it took me months to properly get into Riot! when it was first released because it just seemed too different from AWKIF but I've been hooked on BNE from the start. I'd probably say it's my favourite album from them so far.
