Thanks for the twitter information everyone, I was hoping someone would start a thread about this as I am obsessed with twitter and really hoped to be able to follow the shows stars and gossip on there

I was going to start searching on Twitter for any of the celebs in case they are posting updates on their training.

Thought I would check on here first in anyone knew any that had already started.....

Brian Fortuna, Kristina Rihanoff, Katya Virshilas, Richard Dunwoody, Phil Tufnell all Twitter

There is a thread about this already with several SCD related tweeters on it.....probably on about page 3.

Rav Wilding is also a tweeter and does reply.......I am currently 'working' on him to let us know his dances but so far he isnt giving in .

Ian Waite is also on twitter

Just bringing this forward as someone has started another thread........MODS CAN YOU MERGE PLEASE . This thread has all the 'strictly' related Tweeters that we know about.........

Camilla also tweets as does Nicole Cutler

i'm starting to feel very old, i've started to use twitter but am getting confused, why do Brian and Katya put RT before their replys, what does it mean?
I'm just about there with facebook but need 'twitter coaching'

RT in Twitter means "ReTweet". It means that they've reposting someone else's comment, and acknowledging that it's not their own Tweet.

I'm struggling too! What does it mean if I have 3 followers? Why would anyone follow me???

Many reasons why people might follow you

a. they are people you know
b. You are talking about a subject that interests them eg SCD
c. they are a porn site who will follow anyone to promote themselves
d. They are a money making site
e. no known reason

If you are not happy about someone following you then you can block them click on your follower number to open who it is.......click on the flower type symbol beside them and there is an option to block them........

It is very useful to someone who has never twittered or tweeted (whatever the right term is!!!!)

It gets very addictive very rapidly We've gained about 300 followers in the last week and a half (http://twitter.com/strictlydancers), and the more followers you have the more you feel duty-bound to Tweet interesting or amusing stuff at least semi-regularly!

It's great when the pros and other people associated with Strictly start following and ReTweeting your posts, too!
