Apparently her next single is a cover of 'I wanna know what love is'

WHY????

The song is bad enough without being covered.

I hope she isn't going to make the same mistake with her new album that she made with E=MC by realising all the wrong singles.

This is more like it but its only a tiny snippet of new track 100%

Can't judge it by a small snippet

I have high hopes for the cover because Mariah usually rocks a cover song.

I dont understand how she could have gone from the greatness that was Emancipation, to the mediocrity of both E=MC2 and Obessesed.

I'm a huge fan, but she needs to recapture the spirit she had in the 90s, because I don't like 100% at all - so cheesy and blah. Sure her voice isn't what it used to be, but that's no excuse for having dull songs.

How can you judge 100 per cent by a 10 second snippet?

At least give it a chance

I know i'm in the minority but I actually preferred E=MC2 and Obsessed to most of the songs on Emancipation of Mimi. I loved We belong together, it's a classic and also Don't forget about us. Overall her vocal performance was stronger on Emancipation but musically I loved Migrate, i'm that chick,Side effects, loving you long time and touch my body grew on me after hating it for quite some time. She released the wrong singles there were better singles on than she released from emancipation of mimi. I hate "I wanna know what love is" I'm sure I will prefer her's to the original but she will have to totally rework it with a modern twist for it to be a hit. I don't know why she keeps making such bad decisions.

lol I guess she can never win, some want the e=mc^2 style others complain that they want the 90's style ballads.

I want 90's style creativity. I like her uptempo, "mid"-temp" and ballads;

Her voice in the snippet of 100% sounds great! Very strong. It will be on the Precious soundtrack, it is not going to be on MOAIA. I can't judge by such a short clip, but I'm rarely disappointed with her songs. I'd like to hear it in full.

I'm not sure if it was Mariah's decision to release IWTKWLI as a single. It was the stand out track in all of the album listening parties, so maybe that is one reason. Since the second single hasn't been released yet, it could change. I've always enjoyed Mariah's covers and I think that IWTKWLI suits her. I am excited about hearing it. My only concern is that it won't do well here (US) as I'd love for MOAIA to be a huge success. We'll see, I guess.

From the album review a couple of days ago, it sounds like it could very well become one of my favorite MC albums. They did mention it was ballad heavy and compared the song Angels Cry to Vision of Love. I need to hear the album now!

I do miss her doing the ballads but that was all that was Mariah was known for and i don't blame her for making a change in her music. Most artists do it. Especially Madonna.

I am not fussed on the type of music she does on if it's ballads or not. She will still be my second fav artist of all time.

I will always support her don't get me wrong but her recent ideas and releases are just terrible. I predict IWTKWLI will be a flop sadly.

There was nothing wrong with the Heartbreaker Mariah. I think she lost it after that album and I think she has lacked direction ever since.

She will always be my favourite artist of all time by far. To be honest Im not really bothered what she does because I like all her styles but of course I do prefer some more than others. I enjoyed e=mc^2 and it is my 4th best album by Mariah. I also like obsessed a lot, but am excited by the idea that the album is gonna be ballad heavy. The HATE U clip sounds really good and the vocals on 100 % sound really strong. A lot of the reviews have hinted that the album has a mid-late 90's style and some have compared it to butterfly, apparently Candy Bling is very much like Underneath the stars from the daydream album. It sounds very interesting.

E=mc2 was on the whole a better album than mimi. I can't believe the albums releases though. When you've got songs like "side effects" and "migrate" why release a completly mediocre track like "bye bye" .... and I've got high hopes for the new album. There are to many Mariah haters out there, I think she's fab.x

Yeah Migrate being the lead single would have totally changed that album's furtunes. This is what I mean about her making some naff decisions.

I listened to E=MC2 again yesterday and I really like it.

Side Effects, Loving You Long Time, Thanx For Nothing, Last Kiss, O.O.C, For The Record, I Wish You Well - are all great. I think i'm in the minority when I say i've never really liked "Migrate" though!

I quite liked some of her earlier stuff before she went the urban route.

The fake breasts and trying too hard to be sexy when she is nearly 40 is trying too hard too.

I love "Underneath The Stars"! - one of my favourite Mariah songs. It's one of Mariah's personal favourites too!

I think the older Mariah gets, the better looking she is.

Not everything is about looks and i do not judge anyone by looks but Mariah was no stunner early in her career. She's looks fantastic at 40.

I think she should have pulled a Beyonce - two discs, one ballads, one upbeat. She is famed for being able to do both so instead of doing a ballad heavy album (Memoirs) or an upbeat album (E-MC2), she could have the best of both worlds. That would be a big commercial success.

She looks great for her age, but I thought she looked great when she was younger too -

No, she looks like 49 desperately trying to be 39 or younger.

This is the problem with cosmetics and surgery in relation to celebrities, especially with women. The more stuff they do to their face, the more they in fact age, imo, so it makes them look like older women who try to look even younger, when in reality, none of these women needed that "help" in the first place and would probably look younger without it. Cameron Diaz springs to mind.

I find Mariah mediocre now, since E=MC2, however I think that it's due to crap song choices, which is a shame. Who decides this? Doesn't she have any say?

I think unlike Madonna, Mariah can easily pull off another comeback but then again, maybe she aint bothered about that. Although her last album is her lowest seller. It only sold about 2 million overall. And only 1 million of that was in the U.S.
