Great thread Jan! Can't believe it's that time again. Maybe we should have a pool with everyone guessing how many times a Where's Arlene/Karen/Cam thread will be made?! Keep us entertained!

On the bright side it seems that every year we get a few new people who join up and stay for good over the summer so maybe we'll have some new diehards over the next year too!

I've been here over a year June last year when I started, but I was reading before that.

Great idea for a thread. I hope my nerves - and temper - can survive the onslaught. Perhaps someone ought to warn them though that this place is a bit like the Bermuda Triangle and once here you can't escape.

Oops, I am more lurker than contributor, but just wanted to say that I enjoy reading the threads here during down time.

One thing that strikes me is that last year folks on the BBC boards got increasingly fed up with the behaviour there and the failure to merge threads/deal with nastiness, and therefore departed to DS. I cannot see at the moment that the new boards are better at dealing with those aspects so you may get more than ever coming over. I am sure though that you will welcome nice/fun new posters. Whatever happens though I hope the regulars survive.

I'm a 'saddo' and proud of it. Although I tend to post on an appreciation thread of a certain pro, I love reading most of the threads and it keeps my Strictly juices flowing quite nicely in the off season!

I don't post regularly to any appreciation thread, but enjoy reading them now and then - and adding the odd post.

I'm waiting for the deluge of threads entitled "Is it just me or ....................".

I'm just wondering when the hidden child conspiracies will start, because according to some posters Lilia for one has been pregnant in every series for at least three years... either she's been popping them out off season and not bothering to mention it, or she's enduring the world's longest and least evident pregnancy

Yep -here's to the regular posters - those of us who are sad enough to pause and screengrab the Strictly video to try to work out partners, speculate constantly on who will be taking part and obsess over every series!

ofcourse there is that old favourite........He/She shouldnt be allowed on SCD as they have......

a. Been in a band
b. Been to stage school
c. Was once a prima ballerina
d. Went to dance class when they were a toddler
e. I cant think of sensible reason but I dont like them so they just shouldnt be allowed because ITS NOT FAIR.

f. Danced at their own/sister's/aunt's wedding.
g. Has an unfair advantage because they still appear on other TV shows

Or they might be just too smug, one of the judges' favourites, etc.

I've been here since series 3 and there's some people saying they're regulars whose usernames I really don't recognise...

They'll likely be more familiar by the end of the series though.
