Isn't it possible for someone to like all the popular shows on every channel?

If I like Strictly am I only allowed to comment on that - and maybe The Apprentice?

As I've dibbled my toe on the Big Brother forum am I barred from here and only allowed on the X-factor part now?

There are good, thoughtful posters on all sections of the board in the same way there are windup merchants and people just out to get a rise everywhere too.”

Cliquey and unfriendly? No, I don't think so. This forum - and in particular some threads on it - have a reputation of being very welcoming to all.

There are some demographic issues though, between the "average" BB audience and the "average" SCD audience. BB by definition is car crash television for those who delight in watching psychopaths collide, whereas Strictly is for those who like dance.

For those in doubt - check out the adverts shown in the respective shows.

Putting aside the question of accuracy, this is simply the language of bigotry.

It may not suit your insular view of things but some of the 'invaders' are 'us'.

I thought the only adverts of BBC were for other BBC shows.
Or is that what you mean?

Really?

So referencing a 'chav invasion' and wishing they would 'move over to the x-factor' isn't unfriendly, cliquey and slightly pompous then?

I would question it's reputation of being friendly to all with comments like that, frankly.

As I said, there are good threads and bad threads all over the forum and some of the funniest and even friendliest are over the BB side of things.

If the average BB audience supposed (I say supposed as I've been merrily outside the demograph since I started watching in series one) teenage then from threads and posts here Strictly has it's fair share of that demograph too.

If anyone can remember Strictly last year without thinking that at times it descended into car crash land then I think they are probably wearing their rose tinted.

Bottom line is that BB, X-factor and Strictly are all entertainment shows that are decided by their audience picking up the phone to vote. They all come under the same umbrella and there is really no point feeling superior because one is dressed up in sequins.

Oh, fair enough.
I could only go by your previous posts, which didn't seem tongue in cheek, but there you go:

It is difficult to get across the humour in posts sometimes and I suppose that as an invader I'm not used to your posting style.

Nevermind.
