I'm going to add old-fashioned insults... particularly keen on:

A modest little person, with much to be modest about.

He is not only dull himself; he is the cause of dullness in others

He had delusions of adequacy

His mother should have thrown him away and kept the stork

And even better: insults we have lost

He's a bit smug ~ he's a bit of a blatherskite

Brilliant - but add "journey".

I wonder which of the celebs is going to have the most I love/is awesome/back off/is rubbish I hate threads this year.

I was going to ask the same question about the pros but based on previous years I can answer that one already

I've started to notice the same names coming back year after year too.

Ah well role on DS in January

Great thread Jan

We are already girding ourselves and dusting off our tin hats over in the Ballroom.

Who is Bill Turnbull anyway?

I think it was the series before last. We were waiting for a particularly late spoiler when somebody posted a link to a panda webcam to keep us entertained during the long wait. The pandas were sooo cute and amusing.

It was kinda one of those moments you had to be there to understand just how funny it was. But for me it was an SCD night not to be forgotten!

I don't want to sound like a mollygrubs or even worse a noddypole, but are we going to need dictionaries to contribute to the forum in the future?

I'm a bit gutted that we don't get those late night waits for the result any more Even though they killed me!

Yes, and describing a contestant's performance with any adjective of less than 3 syllables will be considered terrible uncouth.

I think we might run out of 3 syllable adjectives by week 14

Here you go - The Etiquette of Posting

1. One should refrain from using words such as "smug" and "journey" or they will find themselves in a "stercoraceous" load of bother.

2. Adjectives of only 3 syllables are welcomed when passing negative comments regarding Strictly Come Dancing.

3. Threads asking questions answered months ago are discouraged at ALL TIMES.

Anyone care to add more ?

4. Posts saying 'whats the point of appreciation threads for people that were in SCD several series ago' will instantly self destruct.

Late on duty tonight, but fab idea for a thread Jan!

The shock gets bigger every year too - unfortunately!

Nope!

In the virtual world we can do anything! I sat on a virtual naught step for hours last year eating and drinking waiting for JohnFromWales to post his fabulous musings every week!

Lot of us about - let's call this board group therapy!

Best idea I've read in ages!

Will you also please keep us up to date with the stats again please Mike?

For those asking 'panda cam' was a live webcam in the USA showing the adventures of a baby Giant panda that we watched waiting for the spoiler to come in on a Saturday night after the main show. There was also a dedicated panda cam thread set up that was eventually moved off the SCD board!

I wonder who will be this year's 'strange but harmless' newbie this year that will post fanatically about one celeb to the point where you almost want to strangle them?

PS Naming no names in case I get banned or sued for libel, but I haven't seen him around yet!
