Advice on buying a digital camera (SD card, £200)

Hi recently had a friend recorded me doing a stand up gig on a £45 camcorder than frankly I'm going to trow into the bin.

Not here for comments about my stand up right now (yes I'm s**t whatever) but here's the footage just so you can see just how bad a quality of recording I got of it

I also recorded a concert a few months ago where you see the same result

Anyway dicided to throw the piece of s**t away and buy a decent one for the use as seen in these 2 videos, recording myself doing stand up (with audio people can actually hear) and concerts something better than that.

£200 is my budget and I would ideally like one that can be hand held and also uses SD memory cards as I've got 4 of them and it would save me buying new memory cards over again.

Advice?

i would recommend panasonic lumix

compacts TZ6
large body FX28 (might be FZ28 - not sure)

just over £200 - both have long zoom ranges up to 16/18 times, image stabilisation and both will record HD video.

early versions TZ3-TZ5 etc, will be cheaper with similar facilities, but probably not the HD video options.
