Alphabeat - fascination.

Oh my god I have no words to describe how much I hate this song it makes me want to rip off my own leg and hit myself over the head with it until I disable whatever part of my brain controls my hearing.
It's so squeaky and obnoxious it just Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrgggh and now it's on the diet coke ad.
Diet coke used to be sexy.
This is not sexy.

Growl.

What are your most Hated songs?

the song which has annoyed me most this year is probably Florence & The Machine's 'Rabbit Heart', not because i hated it - i thought it was ok, but the way Radio 1 rammed it down the throats of their listeners pretty much every hour of every day for several months, and every dj telling us how 'amazing' it was every single time they played it arghhh! so annoying!

i get fed up of hearing most of Lily Allen's stuff as well. oh and also Cascada's Evacuate The Dancefloor - that chorus just does my head in.

Angels by Robbie Williams - the most overrated and overexposed song, to the moon and back half a dozen times, in the history of pop music. I'd rather give birth to a baby rhino through my mouth than ever hear it again.

Anything by the Beautiful South.

And that disgusting "Not Fair" song by Lily Allen. I will get up and turn the stereo off if that starts playing and I can't find the remote. Even the "clean" version is completely foul.

Ah, that's better, even if I do sound 104.

*worships*

That has to be one of the most average songs I've ever heard and it was voted song of the millennium by the British public?? Dear God.

The thought of Robbie Williams being voted ahead of some of the all time British greats is just nauseating.

I can't agree enough. It's a terrible song and I just don't get why so many people love it

Oh Christ every time I hear that song I imagine her riding a donkey around in a circle in the desert. Everytime the song picks up she beats the donkey with a stick.

I'd had no idea about that. That makes it even more opprobrious.

I think it's the sophomoric rhyming and lyrical content that the song is constructed of. Marginally worse than the song itself is when you see/hear it being even further bastardised by the seemingly neverending supply of 'bluurrk' types ever ready to have a stab at it on talent shows/karaoke etc.

You're Beautiful by James Blunt.

Most Will Young songs as well. Don't get me wrong, he comes across very well in interviews and seems like a nice person and although his songs are good, his voice just completely ruins it for me. There's something very grating about it. As if he sounds nasal or something.

I hate the lyrics of the song the most, it sounds like something a 14 year old would come up with: "Hey Hey You You, I don't like your girlfriend, no way no way, I think you need a new one". Considering Avril is a married woman now why is she (if she wrote the song I've no idea) coming up with childish lyrics like that.

This song makes me so mad I can't find the words to describe it. Its that song that most male pop wanabees sing on TV talent shows and thanks to Louis Walsh and his Westlife boys massacaring it, it has become one of my most hated songs of all time.

Yes it truly is King amongst their 'get up off chairs in the middle' efforts isn't it. It's fused into their very psyches now through its overexposure, they'll probably be singing it to their stairlifts in their nursing homes.

Let's Dance to Joy Division. I honestly think that song epitomises everything wrong with bands. It so perfectly puts together cheap referencing, crap lyrics, lazy songwriting and a vocalist who wants to make you stab glass shards in your ears in unadulterated synchronisation.

The opening chords to Home by Buble/Westlife are enough to send me into a rage, but that is probably due to the X Factor overusing it to the point where its become a joke.

Jennifer Rush - The Power Of Love. In 1985 when this song was released and I believe it was the biggest selling single that year it was played on the radio all day every day and it made me want to scream everytime I heard it. Even though I was only 7 at the time I'll never forget how that song ruled the charts that year and it has haunted me ever since.
