I love maple syrup on my bacon but it has gone up astronomically in price recently that I am having to make do with ketchup, not as nice!!

I think my Mum has a golliwog brooch some where, she used to collect badges etc. I thought he was very cute on the jars. Did they take him off the jars in the end? If so, that brooch is probably worth quite a bit now.

There wasn't just one brooch. You could collect a whole range of brooches of gollies doing different things - playing different musical instruments etc.
If you had the full set I bet it would be worth a lot.
I think the gollies were taken off the jars in the 1980s. probably about the same time that they were removed from the Noddy books.
