they're usually the big ballads, but not always:

I really like:
Al Green - I'm So In Love With You
Percy Sledge - When A Man Loves A Woman (was it him who sung that?)
but also:
Everything I Do - Bryan Adams
and I suppose I have to go for:
I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston

My favourite's got to be Love is all around by Wet, wet, wet from four weddings and a funeral it was number 1 when I tied the knot.

Still sends a shiver down my spine when I hear it.

'You and Me (Tonight)' by Alistair Griffin - pure romance!
The single isn't out until March but the album version will do me for now - destined to become another Valentines Day standard for sure.

how about The Most Beautiful Song Ever Recorded, namely

This Mortal Coil's cover of Tim Buckley's *Song to the Siren*.
Liz Fraser at her mesmerising best.

*On the floating, shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
til your singing eyes and fingers
drew me loving into your eyes.
And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me;
Let me enfold you."
Here I am, here I am waiting to hold you.
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was full sail?
Now my foolish boat is leaning, broken lovelorn on your rocks.
For you sang, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow."
Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow.
I'm as puzzled as a newborn child.
I'm as riddled as the tide.
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or shall I lie with death my bride?
Hear me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you."
"Here I am. Here I am, waiting to hold you.*

A few others (excluding ones mentioned by other people):

Boris Gardner - I Wanna Wake Up With You
Gloria Estefan - I see your smile
Sophie B. Hawkins - As I lay me down
Abba - Gonna sing you my lovesong
Billy Ocean - Suddenly

Johnny English, is that "For Your Love" by Jessica Simpson, a cover of the Stevie Wonder song?

No, it was written in 2000 by the english songwriting duo Louis Biancaniello and Sam Walters for Jessica to record on her 2001 second studio album "Irresistible".

Beautiful song.

No he didn't, there were just 4 singles from the Spin album
Insatiable... Strange Relationship .... I Miss you And Crush 1980 me,It wasn't even a B side to any of these singles Just shows the quality of all the tracks if this track was only on the album.
