Apparently, Murderland will be airing after Blue Murder. To be confirmed though.
Law and Order: UK's coming back next year. It's been a long wait for those second batch of episodes from the first season!

Yeah a little bit down from the last series, but still a very good rating. It's been the BBC's second most watched drama series this year (behind New Tricks), so it definitely should be recomissioned. If it's not recomissioned, the BBC are mad!

Murderland v Life will be an interesting battle. Very much another one where both shows should perform well.

I keep forgetting about Around The World In 80 Days, a 6-part recreation of Philieas Fogg and Michael Palin's epic journeys.
This is in aid of Children In Need so I'm thinking that will air on Thursdays because then the last episode would be on 19th November, the day before CIN night - like the Kilimanjaro Climb airing the night before Comic Relief night.
That would leave Spooks with Tuesdays or Wednesdays and as Wednesdays would put it up against Champions League on ITV1, I predict Tuesdays.
Alternatively, it could be held back to 2010. Holding programmes back seems to be a popular pastime with TV bosses these days.

I also forgot about that show. Gavin and Stacey's also airing this Autumn and it's DVD release date is 23rd November. That would suggest the show is starting sometime during the week of 10th-16th October.
Plenty of new programmes starting that week on BBC1!

Oh well, no chance of that then.
They could always try and solidify Wednesday nights by using it there, with it following on from Waterloo Road. BBC1'd have a fantastic night if it was put on Tuesday's, while it'd scupper The Bill on Thursday's. They're not short on options.

I wonder whether BBC1 and ITV1 will clash So You Think You Can Dance? and Popstars To Opera Stars?
It begs the question whether BBC1'll schedule So You Think You Can Dance? in one go, over two shows on Saturday or split them over the weekend.
I doubt ITV will split Popstars to Opera Stars - no room with Dancing On Ice/Wild at Heart on Sunday.

I don't think BBC1 would spread it over the entire weekend. I reckon they'll have just 1 extended show with everything in it. It's not like they make money out of the voting. But there's room for a separate results show on the same night also.

Broadcast says PtOS is a 6x60min commision. So I'm not even sure if there will be viewer voting in it! It could be just the judges or studio audiences voting. I probably won't be tuning in anyways

They may think setting So You Think You Can Dance? against Dancing on Ice/Wild at Heart is just asking for trouble as well. Both ratings and PR wise.

They started tonight with the one hour special and continue next Monday at 10pm with the new series.

They could use the 10pm slot better with ITV1 repeats instead of films all the time. The soaps could then follow on at 11.

Yep. So now they have phone vote shows on both Saturday and Sunday.
I'm amazed they haven't tried bringing Soapstar Superstar back. I know it was surrounded by scandal, but it bought in good ratings.

I wouldn't have thought so. But best example I can think of recently is that Casino Royale just premiered in Aus on Sunday, not long after us. They're normally a lot faster than us with terrestrial movie premieres.

LOL! Somehow I don't think that is likely. Over here of course Five have the best of both worlds and will be looking at how to maximise on both.

When don't Nine have a poor one these days unless there's a big live sporting event on? It's all a bit "meh" really. It's almost as if they're happy with being second best. The constant Two and a Half Men repeats, even 3 a night on some nights including last, just stinks of complacency. The former highest rating network in Australia is sinking faster by the minute.
I know Ten isn't in great shape either, but at least they're trying hard to change that. Ok, so Nine tried The Apprentice Australia. But didn't they learn anything from the fact that both the UK & US versions flopped over there?

It was the first episode of Season 2, which like FlashForward, only aired in the US four days ago I believe.
