That's typical BBC2 scheduling - they never line up their comedy line up to have the new series start and finish together.

I said that last year when the same thing happened - the date for the event is known months in advance, and although a risk a UK team could be involved, they could tentatively schedule and end on the Sunday instead or something if it turns out to be the case.

They could just about get away with launching the Sunday after BGT finishes - or indeed during the live week (or probably better, before) if they keep out of their way and keep the shows after 10pm. (though based on this years ratings, More Talent on ITV2 would have beaten Big Brother!).

Doesn't seem to be rescheduled, but although personally I think episodes should be dropped rather than rescheduled when displaced for one-off events, and it saves a bit of cash too, I can't see ITV doing that with Corrie.
I still think they'd have been better off keeping the Wednesday episode and adding in extra Sunday editions for any lost during the week. With all the football at the moment, although the Wednesday show would regularly be dropped they've pretty much could have Corrie every Sunday through to Christmas.
