Not for me, using latest FF. Tried to go to the latest episode of "The Fixer" (not that I want to watch it but just to see if there was any difference in the website) and I get this:

Do you have Norton Antivirus/antispam software installed on your PC? I had the same problem, but after a few changes to the settings the player is working now.
K edit: OK, got it working (just had to re-refresh the page apparently!). On the minus side (compared to iPlayer): Pretty low resolution, barely suitable for fullscreen. On the plus side (compared to before): No ads - it just skipped over them, leaving the break bumpers intact! |

Friday 11th September Overnights
BBC One 17:15- Land Girls: 1.9m (16.0%) 19:00- The One Show: 3.5m (19.6%) 20:00- EastEnders: 7.6m (36.7%) 20:30- Traffic Cops: 2.8m (13.1%) 21:00- Best of Live at the Apollo: 2.7m (12.6%) 22:00- BBC News at Ten: 3.3m (17.5%) 22:25- Regional News and Weather: 3.7m (21.0%) 22:35- Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: 2.8m (22.1%) BBC Two 20:00- Mastermind: 2.0m ( 9.7%) 20:30- Gardeners' World: 2.2m (10.1%) 21:00- The Tudors: 1.8m ( 8.3%) 22:00- QI: 2.0m (11.0%) ITV1 19:00- Emmerdale: 5.7m (33.2%) 19:30- Coronation Street: 7.5m (39.6%) 20:00- Tonight: 3.0m (14.6%) 20:30- Coronation Street: 7.4m (34.4%) 21:00- Rebus: 4.1m (19.0%) 22:00- News at Ten and Weather: 2.2m (11.8%) Channel 4 21:00- Derren Brown: How to Win the Lottery: 4.4m (20.4%) 22:00- David Blaine: What is Magic?: 1.7m (10.0%) Five all under 1.5m --------------------- Excellent rating for Derren Brown. Shame he didn't actually reveal how he did it, but 4.4m is a fantastic result for Channel 4. One of their highest ratings of the year! Rebus actually holding up very well for ITV1 at 9pm with over 4m. Friday night at Jonathan Ross is definitely down on previous series. The One Show's first one hour episode did okay. Coronation Street beaten to the top by EastEnders. I think Strictly should win next week against Corrie. |

WOW at the ratings for Derren Brown. It has got a lot of publicity, but I didn't expect it to get that much. SCD next week does face some relatively tough competition, because I also didn't expect Rebus to increase either. It should provide a good alternative to SCD and it probably benefits from ITV not repeating it as much as other dramas e.g. Doc Martin, Midsomer etc.
Quite low for both Corries, particuarly the share for the second one and I can't really see why when Mondays episodes got 9m. Quite a big drop. EE seems to have been stable all week, but doesn't seem to have got that much of a boost from Daniella Westbrook returning. |

Must have been the peak? rzt has posted the official rating of 4.4m, which is still very impressive for c4.

Brilliant rating for Channel 4 - I think they'll be very pleased with that rating. ITV also do very well in the 9pm slot with the Rebus repeat, they should be pleased with that.

thats just nonsense. lets talk facts rather than spin. The over lap between shows is 3-4m; on;y 1-2m max watch time delayed PVR, s at least 50% of the overlap dont PVR

The BBC need to stand firm and not let the Sun dictate where and when they can put there shows.
I dont watch either but hopefully Strictly willl stay exactley where it is right now. This is just another cynical attempt to drive up hits to The Sun website, a bit like their various recent petitions, with the added bonus of a bit of BBC-bashing thrown in. |

Was it not on flash all along? Admittedly, it looks like a slightly different version of their player though.
Really good for Derren Brown though I expect it was down quite a bit by the end of the hour. |

According to BBC News the 15-minute peak for Derren Brown was 4.6m, suggesting that the audience was fairly stable throughout the hour. I assume the 5m figure is the 5-minute peak.
I think it was a very good move by Channel 4 and Brown not to say "how" he did it last night. Had he revealed it last night, chances are most would have forgotten about it and viewing figures next week would go down to about 2.5m. By not revealing it, the suspense stays and therefore so does the publicity - and hopefully the ratings. If they can get 4m next week, that would be superb. The concern BBC might be having is that this publicity stunt by Channel 4 may in turn dent Strictly Come Dancing. I suspect it will still win its slot, but it's actual average will be quite low - I'd say about 7 million only will tune in. Three reasons: a) Friday night - will everyone know about Friday launch, or will some sections of fans forget or be out? b) Corrie clash. Soap fans are use to turning from ITV1 to BBC1 to ITV1 on Friday's, so they will need to promote Strictly directly before EastEnders on Friday. c) Tough 9pm slot. It depends a lot on how the Brown publicity machine works this week, really. I suspect the breakdown will look something like: 20:30 to 21:00 - 5.9m 21:00 to 21:30 - 7.9m 21:30 to 22:00 - 8.5m Average = 7.4 million I really cannot see 9 million plus. That slot for shows like that (excluding BB/IAC/BGT) is untested. Given BBC's figures the past few Friday's have not been good, I'm not sure if it will work as it could give The X Factor a head start. |

9.15 - 4.16m (19.1%) 9.30 - 4.04m (18.7%) 9.45 - 3.71m (17.7%) So a gradual fall in viewers as the programme went on |

Very good for Derren Brown, benefitting well from all the publicity in the papers around it. Next weeks could depend on whether he gets the same kind of 'how did he do it?' coverage.
Rebus repeats have been quite good for ITV. Going back though the archives for something thats not been seen in a couple of years has served them just as well as using the more obvious Kingdom / Doc Martin repeats. |

In hindsight ratings wise at least they'd have probably been better off stripping the events across one week, but editorially that probably wouldn't have worked best for them. I take it last nights show was the best rating for any Derren Brown programme shown on C4, or did things like Russian Roulette perform better? |
