Sad to hear about Patrick Swayze but I expect it won't get the same publicity that Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett although I expect they'll be repeating the Barbara Walter interview and I wouldn't be surprised if Ghost and Dirty Dancing are shown over here as a tribute.

I expect Leno won't announce it tonight because it was confirmed only a hour or two ago when he was either recording or finished.

Leno doesn't start for another hour. It's a 5 hour time difference to New York.

Kanye has to apologise and it has to be better than the half hearted attempt earlier. Rappers seem to be making a habit of using Jay Leno to do national apologies to teenagers. Jamie Foxx was at it a few months ago!

Further to our discussion on the last page, America's Got Talent really is rubbish.

They really don't waste any time between shows. The credits were within the show. Then 2 flashes for the 2 production companies and straight into Jay Leno. Hence why lead-ins are a far bigger deal in the US than they are here!

Wow, they really didn't give viewers a chance to switch off before the news there.

I think the show will do well. Hard to tell from premiere ratings, but I'd imagine by the end of the week we'll have a good idea of where it will land.

It's interesting because it could literally premiere with anything from 3m to 30m.

My guess is somewhere around 13m for the first show, dropping to 6-7m most nights.

it was good in places like the monologue, Headliners and the interviews but other bit just dragged and it took too long for guests to appear.

NBC says the show is DVR proof, I think it encourages it. I think it will debut highly but after that, it may struggle.

Sad news about Swayze and I'm sure FIVE:USA (and possibly FILM4) will clear their schedules to show Dirty Dancing, Ghost, The Beast and the documentaries.

Regarding Flash Forward I think it's seriously going to struggle on its first week up against the final episode of Waking The Dead. However it should start to increase the week after. Though for the first week I just can't see it attracting a completely different audience to Blue Murder & Waking.

It really is a crap show. I've seen some of the results sows, and they are so padded I almost lost the will to live watching it. They do in an hour what BGT mamages in less than 10 minutes. I know they can't have the results at the end of the performances show like BGT does because of the timezones but they need to do something different next year, but not last year's appauling method of announcing them at the start of the following week's show.

NBC has pissed around with it too much for it ever to become a huge hit. They've dragged it out for what seems like forever, in terms of weeks, where all they need are four of five semis and a final, not all this quarter final nonsense. They need to scrap Vegas Week as well, as literally all they did for two hours was do what BGT did in about 25 minutes this year (and that felt padded). The preformance shows need to be 90 minutes, not 2 hours, and the sob stories need to be stopped, as last year (I don't know about this year) they hit ridiculous, X Factor 4 levels.

The production is terrible. It's trying to emulate BGT but it's far worse. The set for the live shows this year is horrid and makes the show look like it's for old people. It skews far too old, and that's partly because it looks old, and partly because of the judges. Piers doesn't have the spark he has on BGT, Sharon is ridiculous and David Hasselhoff is a prize tool. The standard of talent isn't great, and yet Sharon and David fawn over them like they're the best thing since bottled vodka!

As for the final, it managed to do OK with a 2 hour finale 2 years ago, but last year's was only 1 hour (and thrown about in the schedules). I think it'll do OK, but would have done a good deal better if it had been a few weeks later.

Will be interested to see ratings for "Live From Studio Five". With a big guest like Jordan I'm sure Five will have expected it to start high (before it inevitably settles in a few weeks).

Brendan Cole can't open his stupid fat mouth without moaning. If the judges give him four nines he'd still go off in a sulk cos none of them give him a ten. In fact, I'm pretty sure something like that has already happened - where he got a good score and still moaned.

Oh, and the F1 on Sunday had 3.61m (36.4%) - lowish rating due to the fact that Monza circuit is the shortest on the calendar, plus BBC One had an hour post-show. I'll try and get hold of some sort of breakdown.

Its only the first show! 500,000 is still better than the 300,000 that Five News at 7 was getting, if you look at it like that.

Well i guess it depends on which way people spin it. I agree its not excellent ratings, but i hope it grows. I mean i personally thought the show was ok, what exactly where people expecting?

I do believe that Natasha Kaplinksy should have been one of the hosts, Her, Melinda and Matthew Wright would have been good.

I think I mentioned this before, but I'd like to have seen people like Reggie Yates, Liza Tarbuck, Richard Bacon, Jenni Falcolner.

They may not have agreed to do it, but I really couldn't have imagined ever picking any of the current 3 myself. Even unknown people would be better. Melinda was alright I guess.

Hey, has anyone got the ratings for ITV Wales only?
Last night they had at 8pm a specialy Wales this Week documentary on John Hartson and Id be really intrested how it compared to tonight.

Also just to ask again does any have the ratings for WWE Breaking Point (Callied Live WWE on the EPG) on Sky SPorts 2 for 1am until 4am in the early hours of Monday morining (or late Sunday if you wsh)
