sausage and cider casserole

good evening! i have decided to make a sausage and cider casserole tomorrow night, to my own recipe - in other words im going to make it up as i go along lol! only problem is, i want it to taste nice any suggestions as to which cider would work best with pork and apple sausages? any other suggestions would be great

To be honest any cider will do. The cooking process will destroy any subtle flavour of the cider.

I would suggest you put a good teaspoon or two of wholegrain mustard into it to give it a kick and a generous grind of black pepper too.

didnt think about the mustard, that sounds good! have to watch i dont make it too strong though, so the kids will eat it lol x

I did some cider dishes a few months back and the best I tried was Old Rosie.

Asda and Tesco usually have premium bottles on offer (e.g. 3 for £5 or similar) so I would suggest getting a few and trying them out.

That was my plan
And the premier bottles are around 7% so 2 1/2 bottles sorts you out nicely

I've heard Jordan has plenty of experience of sausage in cider (though I may have slightly misheard!)
