My all-time favorite Whitney song is this, and it wasn't even a single, lol:

I Have Nothing

I always watch her live performances on youtube - all of her gospel stuff is simply vocal perfection

Just watch this; does anyone sing like this nowadays? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd2_f_C_jkI

My Love Is Your Love, a lot of people say she was at her prime during the Bodyguard.

But I think during '97/98 she sang with more bite and passion.

I love this song. I think that's her best vocal performance on a song.

Yep! However, I may be reading too much into it, but did she have a cold when she was recording it in the studio? I always think the vocal on that is just a little bit raspy in the choruses....or maybe it's just my copy of the song that's distorted lol?

She never beat her first hit Saving All My Love For You as far as I'm concerned.
Although 'Hold Me' her duet with Teddy Pendergrass was also gorgeous.

In those days she sang and didn't over emote.

I think Mariah Carey's first album and 'Music Box' album are better than anything Whitney has managed until recently plus I think Mariah has a purer voice.

Mariah Carey: http://open.spotify.com/album/7C7WJ3MJmzhe3pZglNrAOs

Music Box: http://open.spotify.com/album/6XVGsJSUH9wgGx3DYOy8Wx

Whitney's new album sounds decent though and I have disliked Mariah's output for years. Too RnB for me.

I don't have a particular favourite but my top 5 would likely be:

1) I Wanna Dance
2) How Will i Know
3) I Have Nothing
4) It's Not Right
5) Heartbreak Hotel

When i got Enrique's greatest hits, there is a duet with Whitney on there i never knew even existed. The song didn't do well but it is a really good song.
It's called Can i have this kiss forever?

I have never heard any of Whitney's old studios album. I guess i didn't need to considering there was a greatest hits collection so her new album is the first studio album i have ever heard from her.

Yeah, I have that.

It's a very good collection. The one with Deborah Cox "Same Script, Different Cast" is also pretty good.
Might give it a spin later since I haven't heard it for a while.

I don't have that edition. I have her Ultimate colleciton. Which has her best songs, not every single song so it was a new song for me which i didn't know existed when i got his greatest hits.

I'm not a Whitney fan but I do like the song 'How Will I Know'. It's the only song of hers that I have so that's my fave of hers.

A lot of her early ones were good. After that she got too caught up in trying to chase trends instead of set them.

If I were to pick one to hear right now it would be 'I Wanna Dance'.
