Hi all

My Panny Plasma looks like it's going mammaries skywards so I am looking to replace it with the above.

The new one has Freesat built in but I already have a HDR under the telly.

Question is; is it possible to share one of the feeds to the box with the telly or will I need a third feed?

My box isn't recording too much so if there were two recordings schedule at the same time I could go Freeview to prevent 2 machines trying to use one feed.

But can I share the feed?

All help gratefully received.

Provided you understand the limitations you can although some say the signal level is not too good

First you can connect the tuner 1 rf out of the hdr to the TV. You need to turn off power saving in sby or the loop through won't work with the hdr in sby.

With the hdr in full sby the freesat TV should have access to all channels, with it in recording sby or on the TV tuner will only have access to the same channels in the same band and polarisation as tuner 1 is using.

Download this webpage and open in your browser

Find the channel tuner 1 is using on the hdr note the colour in the fourth column, any channel with the same colour should be available on the TV.

As you are likely to have a quad lnb it would be a lot less complicated to connect on of the 2 spare lnbs to your TV.

Cheers Graham

Much appreciated, I have one feed free from the quad so as you suggest I might get another cable run in.

Just wondered if it was possible though if needed.

Thanks again

S

Edit:

hadn't looked at the back of the bloody thing to even notice the passthrough!!

I was just going to split it with a stitch up from Maplin!
