Unfortunately its not a price reduction, according to their web site its a new bolt-on they are bringing out called Text 400: Quote:
From 02 web site: More details at http://www.o2.co.uk/txt/3ptext/0,,111,00.html
With our Text 400 Bolt On, now you can text anyone on any UK network at any time from the equivalent of just 3p per message, if you use them all. And, best of all, there?s no daily limit on how many messages you send. For just £11.99 per month, taken from calltime balance, you'll get 400 text messages. These can be sent at any time of the day or night or to any UK mobile network. There's no daily limit to how many texts you can send too, so it's perfect for textaholics. |

Just Join VIRGIN, a very good network, dont have to send 400 to get them for 3p!
If everyone goes on virgin then we can all text for 3p, make cheap calls, AND get 10% back if you spend more than £30 in a month. Also there is no sneaky 5p min call charge |

They announce texts for 3p and at the same time launch a bolt-on that allows you to get texts on PAYG for 3p. I wish the two weren't connected but I think they probably are.

This is great when you get someones voicemail, and you do not want to leave a message.

No I think you worded it quite right in the first instance. As I'm also with Virgin, I like the fact that there is no minimun call charge. I find this useful, when I am ringing someone, and I have already left a voicemail message, and do not need to leave another, so as soon as you hear the voicemail anouncement, you cut the connection. Why should I be charged 5p and more not to be able to get through! With Virgin you don't. |

I think it is a bolt on, even thought the top up line says nothing about it. Think its time for OFCOM to step in on this one.

Virgin is still better, its copmletly stupid having to send 400 to get them for 3p.
O2 online SIM's get 300 'free' texts a month and you can send 100 with the £10 you have to top up with. That works out at 2.5p each. Whats so good about 400 for £11.99, when you can and have been able to for years get them for 2.5p ? o2 are useless and stupid. VIRGN MOBILE IS THE FUTURE! |
