Which one of these phones is a good buy?
Hi,
Well, I haggled T-Mobile and got a good discount on my line, plus a phone for FREE. They said I could choose from the following SE W705 SE C902 Nokia 6303 Nokia N79 Samsung Classico (7350) - with 8GB card Samsung Tocco Lite or W995 and my line rental stays the same, 12 month contract. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks |

W995 is a very good choice failing that I would go for the Nokia N79.
W995 has 8MP camera as apposed to 5MP, 2.6" screen as apposed to 2.4" and 8GB storage as apposed to 4GB (note: you can expand the Nokia to have 8GB but will cost you more) |

Have you tried any of the above phones?
It may be worth reading a few reviews, looking up features and building up a short list and then of those short listed phones try playing with them in your local store to get an idea of which suits you the most. |

Thanks. I have (since this thread), had a play around with the N79, Nokia 6303 (my dad has one), SE W706 and C902.
I might go for one of the samsungs, something different. ![]() The best camera phones, in my view, always seem to be the newer Sony Ericsson phones. The flash always seems better and I think SE are normally ahead with the whole camera thing, which remember isn't just based on megapixels alone. The only thing that broke my line of SE usage was that as the phones got more complex they appeared to be less reliable, having said that I tend to get new phones just before or as they are released so I'm bound to get the bugs and by now they're probably more stable. Nokia has won me over with my last 2 handsets. The N95 8gig was great and the N97 seemed to take that one step further and improve on what was missing from the N95 8gig. However they aren't everyone's cup of tea. There are other good Nokias though and they seem to be producing good handsets once again such as the 5800 and even some of their 'classics' models are nice easy to use and decently priced phones. I've not used the Nokias you mention above though, so I can't comment on those. I think the fact you're now playing with the handsets will result in you getting the best one for you. I'd also advise having a look around the store, playing with a few others, because you may find that there's something else that you really like and may not have to pay much more for. I know the phones in your first post are free, but if it was say £30 for something that you found you really liked I'm sure you'd not say no. Mobile phones really are a try before you buy area. And make sure you let us know what you go for in the end and give us a mini review or your thoughts if you can. Always helps others when they search the forum for a potential handset

My Samsung G600 have nice soft in-earphones that fit me anyway.
Rubber comes off so you can wipe earwax off from time to time (sorry) And they have a 3.5 mm jack halfway down the cable so you can change to any phones. Nokia and Sony phones I have seen are product specific, no jack. hard plastic and dont fit. (except the Nokia musicXpress has a 3.5mm jack on the phone. Maybe some of there other models too) |
