Or a stick. Think of the advantages.......:
Doesn't need walks
Is very faithful
Cheap to keep
Doesn't shed hairs
Can be left alone for long periods

Come in various sizes,
Very easy to train to "stay",
Can go swimming,
Don't bite,
Very quiet most of the time,
Can help you keep warm.........

Yes agreed, an excellent choice.

A stick it is then.

Perhaps the OP would like to pop along to the local park and adopt one.

Failing that I have some pedigree sticks. Both parents can be seen. Innoculated against woodworm and dry rot. Great with kids. £500 each.

Which you have had!

Your lifestyle would not suit a dog.

What have you got against adopting a stick? It's the perfect pet!

I have to say you have been given some very good advice here - as a breeder, based on what you've said thus far, you wouldn't get past first base with me.

There are people with dogs who work full time, but they put a huge amount of thought and time into how they manage having a dog - it is not a commodity to be thrown away if it doesn't fit - it's a long term commitment of 10 years + - with some of the smaller breed possibly even up to 16 years +.

If you really are serious, then a golden oldie from a rescue is a better idea, but I would still have my reservations - sorry
