N97 Losing Music Files

I had uploaded about 40 CD's onto my N97 the other day. Gave it a bit of a rest then went back to uploading. However all but 3 CD's had disappeared!

Checked the memory locations using file manager via Pc and they were indeed gone! Battery was fully charged.

Never had this happen on other Nokia's. So I'm at a loss what happened.

i'm also at a loss. i have heard people on the vodafone forum report trouble transferring large amounts of data.

i'd be inclined to run a chkdsk on it.

also do you really formally live in newcastle??

Is it original firmware or branded?

What version firmware are you running?

It is a branded 3 phone running

V11.0.021.(235.07) dated 16/07/09.

the latter number being the 3 version.
