Samsung E700
I am thinking of buying the Samsung E700 but don't want to pay the earth for it.
I currently have the T100 on T-mobile and they want £140 to upgrade. If I have to I am willing to change network and don't want to pay anymore than £20 a month unless I really have to... Any ideas? |

£80 on t-mobile contract £13.99 a month with 750 off peak mins and 50 texts a month.
Thats what i'm on and if i fancy i can change tariff every month if i like. ![]() Thats still the best deal i can find with the lowest monthly cost and a reasonable price for the handset. |

I am currently on the T-mobile contract £13.99 a month with 750 off peak Min's and 50 texts a month.
However for me to upgrade they want £140... I saw the one on the O2 site for £49 and that is the best so far... |

That depends if you want to pay £6 extra a month for less talk time, but you do get more texts a month.
Don't forget the e700 will be out on PAYG soon for less than £180

I got mine from onestopphoneshop.co.uk, for free on a £21.00 contract, then you can change this after 4 months.

very good phone in terms of looks and screen.
Decent features, but not amazing, good camera! phone will be on "pay as you go" on orange for £189.99 (contract better in my opinion). Its showing it for that price at www.mobilesuk.net |

I have got an e700 - had it since just before xmas - I love the phone but have had my eye on the sony ericsson z600 - I know this is going off the subject slightly but does anybody know if it's any good - I have been offered a straight swap from mine to a brand new z600 at a local phone shop - any suggestions as to whether it is worthwhile doing?

Yes I have found that also. THe ringtones is a puzzler and a bit annoying. The images, however - I presume is like that because of the screen on the front being limited to 256 colours and so an image would look rather crappy. I didn't get the z600 - read a few review and most of them recommended the samsung and so no point changing it. There is a nokia being released shortly (if its not already) - the 6820. THat looks nice as it is tiny and records video. Either that or a P900 will be my next phone I think

I have just got my E700 and was wondering if there is a way of having the clock (or at least a picture) on the front screen permanently. The only reason I ask is that it looks as thought he phone is switched off...

I chose the Z600 over the E700 and I don't regret it. Sure, the E700 is smaller, has a better camera and more memory but nothing much special to distinguish it from other flip-phones. The Z600 is jam-packed with many features and I think it has a better menu.
