Interesting. I didn't now that renaming it moved it outside of its folder. I'll give it a go next time I am struggling to remember what I need to delete (while its recording something else).

Humax do not actually do the repairs themselves, they are done by a 3rd party.
When I had freeze/lock up problems with my Foxsat HDR box and sent it to Humax for repair it came back with the same fault.
When I then spoke to Humax the guy read the notes he had made when we first spoke and told me that the "repair company" had not carried out his instructions. He confirmed that repairs are not done by Humax

By fix I mean issue a new firmware update. This is a known issue and has been for over 18 months. It even effects their later boxes.

Sadly I don't think they feel that it's worth the effort of an upgrade and the longer they leave it the more right they are. There's no immediate profit in an OTA update but what they appear not to care about is that some of us are refusing to buy any more kit from them as a result.

I've also got a 9200T, but get no problem with series link.

I've returned my replacement box for a refund and won't be buying another unless and until I'm sure the long list of issues has been fixed and fixed properly.

How much do you use it?

Mine works correctly while the timer exists but every now and again it just deletes a timer. Rather odly some shows are worse than others.

Life on ITV4 has kept going for the entire series.

F1 (on both BBC and ITV last year) typically drops after the third or fourth event.

Timers for BTCC have never survived to the next event this year but were fine last year.

There's several threads on the subject including one from last year where Humax acknowledge the bug in an email.

Tbh part of my annoyance stems from the fact that it's the only bug that seriously mars the box. There's a couple of other irritations but if Humax could pull their finger out and fix this I would consider the 9200T to be the best DTT PVR on the market.

Instead this bug renders it almost useless as a PVR. I wasn't joking about the pen and paper. We keep it on the lounge table and everyone has learnt to use it to check up on the machine when using it and reinstate timers.

For what it's worth, the list of current bugs/"features", has kept me from buying the Humax. I want something to augment my TiVo for HD recordings and have had my eye on the Humax since it was announced, and am happy to continue to wait, to see what happens in this space. I haven't yet had a play with the new Panasonic (I have the Humax), but the speed the price is coming down, it might end up winning the race, the way Humax are going....(let alone if someone else enters the market!)

In the mean time, it isn't *that* much of an annoyance, having to watch HD stuff I'm interested, "live", via my Panasonic Freesat TV.

Come on Humax, get a move on!

Which bugs are the deal-breakers ? From reading the Panny threads it looks as if the Panny freesat pvrs are far from perfect and in some ways the hdr offers better features.

With the Pound still weak and the Yen gaining strength I cant see the Pannies dropping its prices for much longer.
