Celebdaq Axes Kate.
EddyBee
14-02-2004
As I understand Kate has now been removed from the Celebdaq listings. This follows on from her being awarded the 'Bye Bye, Nice Knowing You' award a few weeks ago.

I think that Cameron is also off Celebdaq, leaving Jade as the only ex-BB HM still appearing on the Celebdaq lists. Expect the price of her shares to swiftly rise with her appearance in 'Back To Reality'.

It doesn't surprise me that Kate's been axed from Celebdaq. What does surprise me is that she hadn't been axed from there before now, she's hardly newsworthy is she.

Perhaps Celebdaq felt sorry for her, given that Kate's been trying so desperately hard to cling on to her celebrity status. Just a suggestion.

I'm saying, I would'nt go along with the angel's predictions. Someone supposedly so astute as he is, should know better.

Sorry London....I'm neither Angel nor Fallen...I never got my wings I'm afraid....And my predictions are uncannily accurate...Sadly I never seem to predict a win for people I like....

I do not play this particular game.
But is it not marked only on the one week ahead?
So if Kate is known to be on holiday and inactive-presumably there would be no takers or maybe no price quote.
If there is no price quoted can you still buy at some bar price?
Presumably when her next OK outing is due it would be a good bet??

Its an odd time to remove her from the listings if indeed they have.

If Kate was a stockmarket share we would be awaiting news breaking of a really major contract (or two) that was embargoed for market reasons or the arrival of the liquidators or a move to another market sector or a possible merger with another northern company. Which ever story proved to be the case the only certainty would be that the share would be newsworthy. As the great thing about celebdaq is that any news is good news for the share she would actually be an excellent buy at present.

or perhaps a fierce hostile takeover followed by some spectacular asset stripping(inevitably also some money laundering also required after the event)

Do people still play Celebdaq?.
I played for a few weeks and amassed a fortune in celebrity dividends, i was put off it though by the seemingly impossible task of keeping your shares up to date so that the profit was rolling in. I really dont know how some of you do it.
There is ovbiously some trick to it.

Celebdaq is pretty easy really, once you get to know how their system works.
Prices are rated on the demand for that particular share. Demand is usually dictated by the dividend they are likely to pay.
Dividends are payed at about 1am Friday morning.

So, every Friday morning, I buy shares in whoever I think will get the most press coverage in the coming week. I sell whoever I held the previous week, add the dividend money to the proceeds, then buy maximum into my choice for the week.
Last week I held shares in Charlote Church, got a huge dividend on Fri morrn, then sold the lot & bought max into Mel Gibson for the weekend.
Normally I would have bought someone with Friday's dividends in mind, but I'm gonna get kneecapped tonight, so I just wanted someone who's shares will rise quickly over the weekend (the furore over his new film saw to that)
Kneecapping is Celebdaq's way of stopping people from amassing mega-billions, and so controlling the market by holding a monopoly in a particular share.
Every Monday morning (at about 1am) they check how much every account is worth - those that are worth over a million get kneecapped - their shares are taken from them and replaced with an icon denoting £1m - then you start again from £10,000
Last week I was gonna get over £1m, so I sold some shares to ensure I didn't pass the million mark (about £999,000) and just sat on the cash until after kneecapping. The shares I had in Miss church continued to climb throughout the week, and brought a big dividend on Friday - that put me at £1.8m - Mel Gibson looked good for the weekend so all the divi money went into his shares - I now stand at £2.1m so I'll get 2, £1m icons instead of the usual 1.
Your rating in the league changes every day, and is based on your percentage profit over the previous 7 days.

P.S. anyone who plays - if you wanna make a mini league for this forum I don't mind starting one up.
Just add your Celebdaq I.D. number onto this thread.

P.P.S. Jade's value peaked about 5 days ago, and has been falling steadily since then. Anyone looking for a good price increase, and a good divi this week, I'd recommend J K Rowling.

Celebs are voted on & off Celebdaq's list by the members (players)

Every week 4 Celebs are offered to a vote to be listed, and another 4 to be de-listed.
Those with the most votes are on, (or off) their list
Occasionally more than one may be listed or de-listed in the same week (eg when things like IACGMOOH are imminent)

It's just a poll. People who are members just click on a button on the homepage then select the person they want to be added/removed from the 'daq and whoever gets the most votes by the cut off point gets what they deserve

These may not work for non-members but this weeks polls (The de-list poll is to remove 3 people from celebdaq!) are here:
Add someone to the 'daq
Remove 3 from the 'daq

Oh and the money isn't real but the top trader every week (There's a huge great chart that all 'traders' are on) gets a £100 cash prize.

There is 2 DigitalSpy leagues and there are spaces available. All are welcome, just post your interest in the DS Celebdaq league thread and I'm sure they'll get back to you.
