I'm watching one of the "interactive" screens. I prefer it 'cause it's mostly just the music. The Horrors were good earlier I thought. Placebo at the moment.

Just noticed that DigiGuide says that Sunday's 22:45 coverage will start with 45 minutes of Radiohead! I'll definitely be watching that

On Call is such an awesome gig song! Was fabulous when I saw them at the O2 this year, and V last year.
On top form tonight, loved The Bucket, and Charmer was wicked as always! Great set! |

Yep they are amazing!
I wish I still lived in Leeds though. I used to live in the same village where Bramham House is, where the Leeds festival is held, it was only a 5 minute drive from my house and residents can apply for (VERY) cheap resident tickets, which my brother was lucky enough to be accepted for this year! |

Ok, thats ridiculous! They werent happy with their performance! WTF?!?
![]() I heard Caleb say "About f*ckin' time" after he'd motioned to them to liven up a bit and "I thought you were meant to be the loudest crowd in the world" (or words to that effect). The sound wasn't as good as I've heard from them in the past but they still rocked the place. Will be interested to hear their comments after this as don't think we're hearing the full story..... |

Was it just me or did KOL seem a bit p*ssed off with the crowd reaction

Apparently the band were seriously unhappy with the crowd reaction, that was the problem. Caleb was getting pissed off with them, trying to get them to liven up. In my opinion, its a bit of a shitty attitude to take, to deny their fans who couldnt make the gig, the chance to see the full set, when they are'nt happy with a crowd.

I agree sparkle. It's not a good attitude.

You could tell Caleb was annoyed with the crowd more or less from the start. They're my favourite band but they'll have to be careful, if they show this kind of attitude again people will start turning against them.
I do think they had issues with the sound as well though, and being the perfectionists that they are that will have p*ssed them right off. |

I didn't se the KOL set (I fell asleep watching Placebo while EE was on
)But the crowd were quite quiet for KC too and Ricky Wilson was shouting at them to get louder, maybe the flags make a diference? Also was proper LOL'ing when Little Boots had to tell her crowd to sing and not scream "No listen, it 2 notes, don't just scream"

I haven't watched the KOL set and have it on SKy + for later. I think the coverage is excellent especially the red button stuff as I've got into bands such as Santogold from watching previous years. It also helps the line up is as good as it gets from my perspective. Looking forward to seeing AM tonight even if i'm still unsure about the new album.

So, I'm there. £40 this year for a weekend ticket. Nice having a house 5 mins down the road to have a shower and some decent food. As for the sound issues - am I right in believing that Reading's maximum noise output is lower than Leeds'? So, KOL should be a little less pissed off by the time they come up here. |
