I suppose it depends on the upbringing. We were never allowed to lick lids as it was classed as vulgar.

Social conditioning still prevents me as i fear a hand shoving my head down onto the table.

Yes, because if you don't completely clean a yogurt pot out and then throw it in your kitchen bin it will stink your entire kitchen out within 24 hours (you only have to open the bin once) so I eat or lick as much as possible then rinse the pot and lid under the tap before discarding!

You poor thing!

I was positively encouraged when I was growing up, along with tipping crisp bags up to catch all the crumbs and cleaning your plate with bread - you don't waste food

I don't, I hate the sort of lumpy texture the yoghurt on the bottom of the lid has. It makes me squirm.

Me too. I remember as a kid mum saying "lick the lid, get it all off" and me saying yuck. Its all thick on the lid. I really dont fancy it.

I'm beginning to think you have a phobia of not leaving things 100% food-free! All this licking clean you've been telling us about!

LOL I do these too . I put extra gravy on the plate just so I can have some bread .

OP - Yes I lick the lid and stick my finger in the pot so I can get the last bits out .

With Muller Lights I lick the lid and all around the top edge to get all the thick yoghurt first lol.

It's just wrong not to really.

I'm very partial to those Activia Rhubarb yoghurts and I always lick the lid, I can't help it!

Me too, I scrape off the bit that's left around the top of the pot too when you peel the lid off and put that in the bin. It's all lumpy and gross.

It's a bit like eating skin off rice pudding, gravy or custard. I don't do that either.
