What songs do ppl think we have been forcefed via music channels just that 1 bit too much within the last year or so./Heres a list of songs that if i hear again i would consider the trusty old cyanide pill
Stan-Eminem[thankfully it isnt played much nowadays but when it was released it was just on way too much]
Lady Marmalade-[Any1 with access to music channels must be really sick of this by now.I know i am.And its still occasionally played!!!Who is still requesting this song on Emap i dont know.]
21 Seconds-This is really gedtting on my nerves now.Its always on!
Any more?

For me it has to be anything by Robbie Williams - I've the greatest respect for the guy and he's made some brilliant records but you can have too much of a good thing. MTV et al please give it a rest!

The fact that Purple Hills is on every music channel except MTV Dance and VH1-Classic, it was sooo played too much.
21 seconds is played a lot, but I wouldn't say too much.
Lady marmalade too, but it's not as much now.
Angel by Shaggy was too, but I hardly hear that these days.

Speaking of music channels: Did anyone see VH-1 Classics this afternnon? They played about 20 songs from last year and this year, then.....played them all again, in the same order!! Don't know if it will happen a 3rd time or not, I'm watching Cartoon Network now.

MTV played Ricky Martin 'livin la vida loca' far too much when it came out.
Robbie Williams gets played too often as well.

Sweet Like Chocolate was played too much when it wsa out.

Anythign by Destiny's Child is overplayed (or is it a differnt song but sounds the same? )

That is what you get for commercialism though....all you sheep make it what it is!

Sorry, mini-rant there, but I am a hater of comercial music. The indie kid has spoeken! hehe

John Webb, this is not a personal knock at you, but Indie is short for independent. Independent referring to record labels. I suppose you don't realise that Bob the Builder, Tweenies, Kylie Minogue, N-Sync, Backstreet Boys, Steps and Britney Spears are all indie?

dart, I did know that. I was sure someone would pick up on that! I was just usingthe phrase associated wiht alternative music, usually independent with what I like.

I miss repersented myself there. Wrong use of my language that used to mean what it did, back i nthe good 'ol days of msuic that isn't written by someone else that performs it.

But anyway, back on topic...I am still compiling my long list of over-played commercial music!

The most overplayed songs, anything by Geri Halliwell, Guns N' Roses (November Rain on Q nearly everyday), Iron Maiden (On Kerrang everyday), Robbie Williams. I wish they would stop playing the songs to their death. First time is ok, but after hearing it for the 3rd time in a hour is just taking the piss.

Q sometimes do this during the day. Especially Lady Marmalade.

Every music channel, overplays many of the current songs. They all have narrow playlists and gets very irritating. Why can't they expand on the songs they play anmd not play the same song more than 3 or 4 times each day?
