And dropped to page 2!

While I'm here has anyone else noticed we can no longer quote across threads? It used to be that when you went to reply on one thread, if you'd pressed the multi-quote button on another thread a message asked you if you wanted to quote the post from the other thread (does that make sense?).

Now cross thread posting doesn't work and you can't simply copy and paste text between threads either. The only way to cross thread quote, is to press the quote button on the thread where the post is you want to quote and then copy and paste it into the reply box on there other thread.

I know it's late, but when did change that happen?

I didn't know you could do that anyway

Perhaps it makes the mods lives easier?

Doubt if it is that because you only have to click on the little blue arrow box on a post to be taken to the original thread.

I've also notice delays in posts appearing on threads even though they show as the last pot on the front page. In fact, I wanted to edit the post I made on the Brag in December thread which I posted at 14.07 and it is still not showing now at 14.50! Yet when I went to reply again thinking I had pressed cancel by mistake it does show up as the last post on the thread. But if you search the thread using the search function it doesn't find it! Weird.

DS did say there were capacity problems at the moment with the BB board being so busy, so maybe it is the knock on effect of that.

I've notice the posting delay aswell. It's annoying that it says that you've posted though as the last poster. A way round it seems to be making another post in the thread but it would be easier if it just showed up in the first place .

Hopefully it is BB that's slowing it down, as it's only got a few days to go now .

As a matter of interest can you see my post on the Lets Brag in December thread?

There you go:

Quote:
“Oooh! So hard to choose been wishes and reality!

My final three (but it could be in any order!) -

1. Martina and Matt
2. Jade and Ian
3. Richard & Lilia

Can this be an each way bet, as I'm definitely not sure of the order?

How about one point for each couple you get right in the final three and two points for getting the place correct?!”

Don't know what's wrong with DS .

Weird or what? It happened with a thread by memmh yesterday (who we've have both just welcomed on the other thread - I met her on her last series) - exactly the same thing. You could only see it when you tried to reply.

It happens a lot on the Ex-Tourers and Flavia thread too . And for threads that don't get many replies conversations can take ages...

Morning All, sorry Afternoon.

Found us on page2.
News at the top of the page says
Ricky Whittle is struggling with the training. I would think most people struggle with the training in the early days. For most of the celebrities it is an alien environment, that's the point of Strictly, to take someone who can't/doesn't dance and teach them how to.

I know this will sound mean, but I have no sympathy for anyone doing their day job at the same time as SCD as it is their choice.

In fact, if I feel the celeb is not giving SCD 100% because of their other commitments, it really annoys me because we could have had another more committed celeb instead. That's how I felt about Gary Rhodes last year and I was a fan of his before he did SCD and his attitude put me right off him.

Don't get me wrong - I have no problem with the celebs talking about having other commitments, but not if I feel they are looking for the sympathy vote because of them.

I really admire the effort the celebs who do combine their day jobs with SCD, but they'd better not moan about it!

Don't worry about it Will as I gave up when I realised nobody else had noticed in the first place the option that has recently disappeared!

I was in the Civil Service for 20 years (seriously)!

What makes you say that Will?

Jude work gets in the way big time now and the series hasn't even started.

Well, it's quiet here today so typically there's no one about and the boards are slow.
